On Monday August 8, 2016, OBIO organized the inaugural webinar on the ins and outs of the highly anticipated Health Technologies Fund.  OBIO partnered with the Office of the Chief Health Innovation Strategist and Ontario Centres of Excellence to deliver an information session to over 75 participants in the Health Science Industry.

We are pleased to collaborate with industry leader OBIO to create awareness about the Health Technologies Fund. The fund, which is administered by OCE, supports the commercialization of health innovations in Ontario. OBIO’s role helps strengthen the ecosystem by informing companies about the various program and funding options available to them, acting as a pathway to navigate the system and driving collaboration, ultimately supporting the goals of scalability and commercializing technology.
— Bill Charnetski, Ontario’s Chief Health Innovation Strategist.

HTF is part of the Office of the Chief Health Innovation Strategist’s mandate to strengthen Ontario’s health innovation ecosystem and the fund has been created to support the development of Ontario health technologies with a focus on innovation adoption and diffusion, while breaking down silos in the healthcare sector.
