Annual Policy Priorities-Setting Session
The Toronto Region Board of Trade's 2026/2027 Policy Priorities-Setting Session brings together business leaders, policymakers, and the broader business community for a morning of dialogue on the issues shaping the Toronto region's economic future. The event combines an open stage program featuring prominent speakers and timely discussion on the region's most pressing economic priorities, with an exclusive session for the Board's Policy Committee Members that forms part of the Board's annual agenda-setting process.
The first half of the program will open to a broader audience and feature a Special Address by The Honourable Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario, followed by a Mayoral Election Political Panel. The panel will bring together political commentators with diverse political perspectives to explore the priorities, challenges, and leadership responsibilities of Toronto's next Mayor. This moderated discussion will examine the policy choices and economic issues that will shape the city's future and its role as Canada's economic engine.
The second half is an exclusive program for the Board's Policy Committee Members. It will feature key updates on the Board's policy initiatives, followed by an interactive networking session to foster cross-sectoral dialogue. Collectively, these conversations will inform the development of the Board's 2026/2027 policy agenda.
