Ontario life science Mission to Bio Japan 2026 will take place at Pacifico Yokohama from October 7th to 9th, with the Ontario Pavilion. Bio Japan is the world's oldest biotechnology exposition and is the cornerstone of biotechnology industry in Japan providing platform for innovation and collaboration in biotechnology. • Exhibiting at Bio Japan (Yokohama, Japan) provides biopharmaceutical, life sciences, regenerative medicine, digital health, imaging, and medical technology companies in Ontario with opportunity to meet with potential customers and sales/distribution partners in Japan, and around the world. BIO Japan mission provides an opportunity to introduce Ontario life sciences (medical and assistive devices, digital health, AI, robotic, sensor and security, healthcare entertainment and management technologies) and bio sciences (drug discovery, drug development, drug manufacturing) companies to Japanese healthcare providers (hospital, clinics, long term care facilities, senior home etc.) and bio science companies (drug manufacturers, universities and clinical researches) as well as sales and distribution partners, and unlocking new export markets in Japan and increasing exports for Ontario companies.

  • Interested mission members are welcome to join extension Outreach Mission organized in Seoul, South Korea after the visit to Japan. South Korea presents a significant market potential. South Korea is proximity with Japan, sharing similar business culture. Outreach program in Seoul will include a market briefing session and curated B2B meetings at the Canadian Embassy follow-up meetings or group visit to a large Korean corporation.

  • Ontario’s Trade and Investment Offices in Tokyo and Seoul will support programming and in‑market activities.

Who should participate?

Ontario companies, which are interested in Japanese and/or /Korean life science markets, can showcase their products, services, and technologies at BIO Japan, which is ideal for Ontario Companies across the life‑science ecosystem, including biotech and pharmaceutical companies seeking partnerships and licensing deals, medical device manufacturers exploring digital health, diagnostics and regenerative medicine, chemical and materials companies working on biotech applications in materials and enzymes, research institutes aiming to commercialize discoveries, startups looking for visibility and investment, investors scouting emerging technologies, government and regulatory bodies supporting industry development, and service providers such as CROs and CDMOs who work with companies throughout the R&D and commercialization pipeline. These groups attend because BIO Japan is Asia’s most concentrated hubs for partnering, technology scouting, and cross‑border collaboration.
