Women in the Business of Health Science Bootcamp
Hosted by the OBIO® WiHI Program on September 12 – 16, 2022
This intensive five-day training program was designed to help women start or transition into business-oriented roles and provide mentorship to accelerate their career in the growing health science industry. Bootcamp participants gained a better understanding of the functional areas of a business and how they interact with:
The overall execution of strategic objectives
The operation and management of a health science company
Leveraging their existing skill sets to pursue and succeed in a career in health science
Bootcamp participants RECEIVED:
Training from seasoned professionals in various areas of business such as finance, business development, project management, operations, communications and more!
Professional development mentorship, including resume and interview coaching to help them achieve their employment goals
A wage subsidy of up to $20,000 CAD upon completion of the bootcamp*
WHO COULD APPLY:
Applicants had to meet the following eligibility criteria:
Woman residing in Ontario and legally eligible to work in Canada
Unemployed or employed (within six months in current position)
Completed post-secondary degree and not currently enrolled as a full-time student

The OBIO® Women in the Business of Health Science Bootcamp took place between
September 12 – 16, 2022, and was available at no cost to eligible applicants.
