The IBE program was an excellent crash-course in med-tech company building that would be great for any entrepreneur just starting but was also a useful refresher for those with established start-ups. The speakers offered a diverse set of perspectives on team-building, management, fundraising, legal and regulatory issues, as well as communication and speaking. It was also a fantastic opportunity to reconnect with those in the local medtech start-up community and make new connections with funders and service providers.
— Cam Stewart, CEO Mesosil

What stood out about IBE was the network and being able to bounce ideas off of other founders and start up employees. I think the main benefit was being able to ask critical questions to those folks to see what they had done when they were in your shoes or what they would do based on their experience. My favorite sessions were any of the ones that focused on the personal skills development. I thought that it was really a unique stance, as a lot of the other workshops or boot camps that I’d done before had the classic IP discussions, exit strategy discussions, etc., but what was really unique about IBE was bringing in the personal skills element and the teamwork element. IBE has allowed me to interact with my co-founder and our team differently, with a better understanding of where I come from based on my personal skills.
— Sydney Robinson, CEO and Co-Founder, Vessl Prosthetics

This course provided a strong foundation for understanding the cross-functional considerations of growing an early-stage biotech company. The networking opportunities were valuable, as well as the access to advisors from different specialties each day. I’m glad I was a part of this cohort.
