Ontario invests $5M to boost life sciences in Ottawa

The Ontario government is protecting the province’s life science sector by investing $5 million through the Ontario Wet Labs Program (OWLP) to support the outfitting of a new wet lab housed within the University of Ottawa’s Advanced Medical Research Centre (AMRC).

We commend the Ontario Government’s strategic investment to equip a new wet lab at University of Ottawa. This strategic funding will create over 750 jobs and bolster the region’s life sciences infrastructure crucial for scaling biotech innovation. We are proud to see this progress build on the important work led by our President & CEO, Dr. Maura Campbell, as co-chair of the Wet Lab Coalition.
